What spec are you ICly?

So, yeah. I'm a little curious as to what in-game class specialty your characters would be. Because, yeah, I'm having a hard time figuring out what kind of Rogue that Drella is.

Like, for some of my characters, it's a little easier to decide. Leeches heavily gravitates towards shadow magic, Locusts is quite obviously an Unholy Death Knight. Tohu's a pyromancer, etc.

So, what about you folks? :)

Lenyah is ICly balance. She raaaarely uses the boomkin form, though. She's an incredibly traditional Druid (which is funny because lol lady Druid) that is all about drawing power from the earth and cleansing corruption. Less so cleansing people and more so the earth because durids r 4 fite.

Bryn is ICly mutilation. Daggers, poison, and all of that jazz. But she sort of dances a fine line between mutilation and sub when it comes to handling enemies. :|a

Ardreigh started up as an arms warrior (shovel maces fuck yes) but she'll soon grow to become a very close combat oriented hunter because she's learning how 2 cavalry. Spear and bow. Pewpewpew.

Alwynn really isn't any of the Druid specs. She's a blood witch which in my mind is sort of a bastardized shadow user that relies on nature magic. She can shift into a bird and a really freaky version of Tree of Life.

Ethne is a shockadin. Half ret and half holy. Years of combat has turned her into a pretty capable healer but she's always concentrated on combat with a two handed sword.

Arwain is a fire-speaker. But most flatlanders call it being a pyro with zero idea of any concept that has to do with the arcane.

omg this is a cool thread

ok ok

nausea icly would be like...an npc that auto attacks. jk she's supposed to be sub rogue and can actually do a good job of sneaking if she keeps her mouth shut.

uhhh lemon is a resto shaman. she likes helping people, not hurting them.

skeleton is a BM hunter because she thinks everyone would be scared of her face, so she hangs out with animals that are as equally rotty as her.

mis is a feral druid. idk why she just is.

cathedral is a ret paladin because she doesn't like helping people with the power she has. idk i think of ret paladins as the more rebellious, kinda dickish pallies.

rime is a prot paladin however because she's really into keeping others safe and she's pretty strong.

as far as finding out a spec for your rogue, i guess it'd help to think of how they'd fight. if your rogue is really into using poisons, then maybe they'd be assassination. i imagine sub as super sneaky and combat as like, someone who's maybe decently strong and likes to fight fast and close range.

Jaen is easily a prot warrior. He doesn't really like violence, and only resorts to it when necessary. When he's had to fight, he usually serves the purpose of a brick wall.

Illy is a little more difficult. Fighting wise, she's a straight up marksman as her specialty is sniping, but in general, I RP her more as a survivalist.

I don't put much emphasis on specific specs or special WoW classes. They're extremely limiting -- but with that said, Alurien's in game specs are Marksman and Beast Master, but he's far more a marksman if I had to pick something. He's not really a hunter at all if you're talking about traps, pets, taming, etc. He's more of a sniper/soldier. I mean marksman works to a degree but I feel like it's really not accurate because you start bringing in the limitations of the class and it becomes faaar more about omg class role than my character in dis story happens to be talented at ____ in terms of combat. tl;dr i know

viensa is poison ivy meets blood witch.

Sholaad is definitely ICly a Retribution Paladin. He wields his Sceptre of the Sha'tar or Hammer of the Naaru, (or even the Crystal blade Waraxe), with no shield and uses the Light to purge his enemies. He's a vindicator, through and through.

As for Gurthoon, I wouldn't classify him as any specs on the Deathknight tree, since he's not a third generation deathknight per se. His magics rein from fel warlock magics from his early training, to blood magics of a deathknight. He really mixes unholy (diseases) and blood magics well, so I would say that much.

Gurth has definitely no connection to the frost tree, however. Ice and Gurth are not in the same motif!

Oh, what a fun topic!

Inathia is a protection paladin through and through, both IC and OOC. She's a very capable shield-bearer, and uses it offensively as much as defensively. (When she's not bludgeoning her enemies to deal with her shield, she is stabbing them with her sword. >_>)

Violette, ICly, is a holy priest. She is very interested in helping others (even when they don't want to be helped) and is all about studying the miracles and grace of the Light. OOCly, she's a shadow priest in gameplay because I dunno how the crap holy chakras work.

Faronne is playing a fine line, as far as her "RP spec" goes. She started off as more of an arcane mage than anything, and dabbled in other schools of magic but portals and countering spells was her big thing. Lately, she's been studying fel and shadow arcana, and is taking on more qualities of a destruction warlock. I've yet to decide if I'll ever dualclass her or anything. A) I'm poor, B) I'm lazy and C) PORTALS. :S

I tend to build character concept around spec, so.  Pretty easy to sort out.

Keedorian is a combat rogue.  Much as I prefer the subtlety playstyle, that's what fits him.  He's a terrible rogue when it comes to hiding and fighting dirty, but his fighting style relies too heavily on speed and guile and is too fixed in the "swashbuckling adventurer" persona to work well with heavy weapons and armor.

Bak, my shaman of peon stock, is enhancement.  Elemental and resto are a bit too complicated for him, but putting spells on your axe and hitting things is good honest sense.

Kentworth started as a frost spec DK to represent his detachment and confusion.  As he started understanding more about himself and became more interested in other people and in protecting them at the cost of others if need be, I switched him to blood.

Tarashan the Treefearer is a balance druid, based on his personal and somewhat skewed interpretation of what balance is.

Lastly, Halidorel, my Highborne mage, was fire spec as a result of using the arcane as a means of expelling his constant, everburning fury at Kaldorei society while maintaining a calm demeanor.

Lyria's unholy, both in-game and ICly. Most of my characters are the same spec they would be ICly. The only one I ever really DO anything with pve or pvp-style is Mah, and since she's not a priest ICly...

Unholy, with ghoul Limbface who I actually pose quite a bit of, and who seems to be building his own following OOCly. Kal only goes blood OOCly, and only to solo or duo old PVE content.

My other DK is a porche blood. It's the least casting-heavy of the three, and she has a bit of a speech problem.

I was originally leaning towards subtlety, but Drella's more like. Vicious combat skills up front and in your face. She's a very brutal character. So, combat it is. Thank you for the help. :)

Kiyokko is a mix between discipline and shadow. He tries to keep his comrades from getting hurt in the first place aside from just heal them. And piss him off enough and he'll slip into shadowform and give you a ass-kicking lecture!

Durdanios' spec is Whipped. He gave up fighting of sorts to get his lover to stop whining and throwing temper tantrums whenever he so much as picks up a weapon.

Alastril's IC spec is Beast Master as he has a Devilsaur and spirit beast at his side.

Siosil is unholy, because he loves his ghouls like family. He even bought his ghoul a tacky sweater this year for Winter's Veil.

Roseleen , is a protection /Holy paladin..which theoretically  fits her Icly as well; she's protective of her loved ones, and will do anything short of murder to protect them; and her nurturing nature, tends to win over violence whenever one of her friends and loved ones are hurt.

Galadthelas - Is Icly a Resto druid; she has done her duty to the Alliance as a soldier, now she's retired, and focuses on raising her children, and working as an archivist and advisor to the High Priestess of the Vale.

Yvhaine - Started off as a Frost specced mage but has quickly adapted well to Arcane, that she doesn't use much else in battle.

Solveig - Is a Blood specced Dk Icly but uses Frost .

Illsabeth is strictly a Fire mage

Shiksa ,my Draenei hunter is Survival ,/and Beastmastery. She finds she trusts animals more than she does people.

I am so bad at keeping my in-game specs IC. :c

Norrien is ICly a Protection/Fury warrior, but I have never actually tanked on him and I don't like Fury dpsing. Arms is just more fun.

Rynlan is a Discipline healer, leaning heavily towards being a full-time Shadow priest, but in-game I mostly play Holy.

Erenar -should- be Unholy but I have more fun as Blood/Frost.

Dindris is a beast master with a little bit of Survival spec. She's very fond of her giant toothy Jormungar and ghost cat, and has no problem getting into close range if she has to take care of things herself.

Jenehvive is "oh my god I'm not leveling another hunter" spec, which is to say that I don't actually level her so her in-game spec may as well be nonexistent. IC she's very much Marksmanship and doesn't really tame beasts, she just has a hunting dog. I think I may have specced her Survival but I don't even remember, that's how often I level my poor worgen.

When choosing an IC spec for my character, I always consider the moves which can be used out of combat. Most of the rp I engage in doesn't happen on a battle field, so it's nice to be able to cast certain spells for RP - even if I have to use them on a critter to get them to really activate.

Skrimples is Blood because he's a surgeon and does a lot of work with anatomy and physiology, as opposed to a more traditional plague doctor who would be working with diseases in patients. Skrimps is actually pretty ignorant when it comes to fixing ailments that he can't prescribe simple medicine/magic for or cut out/replace/etc with some surgery. I've always got an OOC Blood spec because I absolutely adore the intricacies of DK tanking, so it really helps that the character has an in-game spec to match his IC spec. I'd say his secondary would be Frost, but I just switched to Unholy OOC so it looks like that's a ways away.

Ridley is Subtlety (which is a really hard word for me to spell, for some reason!) because he's a huge scaredy-cat. He's extroverted when it comes to conversation, but danger is a whole new ball game. Sneaking through the shadows, vanishing when the going gets tough, some minor teleportation abilities, sapping, ambushing - those are all Ridley things.

Rethen is definitely survival, which is kind of great because I love Cata survival.  He's an actual hunter, as in he goes out and he kills things and makes armor and food out of them.  So he uses traps (at least when he's out hunting, I've never really used them in any actual RP :/), camouflage, all that stuff.  And because surv is the "magical arrows" tree, I play if off as part of the blood elf-y tendency to have magic even if you're not strictly a magic-user.  So his explosive/poisoned/burning/ice arrows (because he totally has all of those ok) are all activated by him pushing a little mana into runes inscribed on his arrows.  And he uses arcane shot, a lot, basically just by throwing a lot of magic onto an arrow as it leaves the bow.  Nothing terribly fancy, because he's not a mage, but enough that it justifies doing other tiny magic things IC in non-combat situations.

Jom is elemental IC as well as OOC.  For a while, he did a lot of healing for his old guild, and his offspec is resto, but really he tends to use the elements more offensively, and his body isn't strong enough to bother using enhancement.  One of his favorite moves: if someone standing near him is bothering him, he stomps the ground to make a little earthquake to knock them off balance.

Yuros is prot IC and OOC, as well (can you tell I tend to play my characters as their OOC spec?).  He's a Vindicator, and he uses a shield and usually a mace, usually fighting defensively.  However, he did used to be a mage, so I sometimes use arcane spells in RP.  Mostly out of combat because otherwise that wouldn't really be fair. xD

Garmok is some kind of weird slurry of all the warrior specs.  He usually fights with a shield and an axe, but he tends to favor smaller shields and use them for bashing more than he uses them for blocking.  He does make a lot of noise, though, and usually ends up being the one the attacks are focusing on, even if he's being more aggressive about tanking.  He is prot OOC, too.

Doren is most definitely affliction IC, though his OOC spec fluctuates.  Normally he doesn't do combat unless he's bored or doing an errand for the warlock's guild, but when he does he prefers to hide behind his tank husband and just torture the crap out of whoever they're fighting.  Because he is a bad person.

Kalo is actually an exception to me playing a character's spec IC: he's very much feral, but I can't stand to play the spec myself, so he's OOC specced resto.  Yes, he is one of those druids that sits around in cat form.  I don't make him talk, though, and if he decides to act cutesy kitty druid to try and con food out of someone, he usually fails because... he's a big-ass tiger with tusks.

I haven't actually RPed OR leveled much on Springpiston, but I imagine him as a combat-style thug.  He can avoid being seen if he wants to, but it's usually just so he can ambush someone and beat their face in.

Varenas is another character I haven't RPed much, so I'm not even sure what spec he would be IC.  OOC he's shadow/disc, but I know he's definitely not shadow.  He's probably just going to be some kind of generic-priest who really doesn't do a lot of magic IC - I see him more as the scholar type.

Keida is a Marksmanship hunter, though as she advances her old magical teachings she'll be moving towards Survival purely for cosmetic reasons. Yeah... I RP her as a pre-Cata hunter, back when they had mana bars. Because they were cool back then.

Edit: I like the idea of shooting magic arrows, and Keida is going to train herself to do just that. And lots of it.

Keneka is a mix of Assassination and Sub. Because, after all.. you have to be sneaky to stab people with a poisoned blade, right? And there's no reason to stick around when they're going to die anyways. >_>;;

Aldhelm is a mix of Prot and Arms, though he'd dual wield one-handed weapons if he managed to get his hands on a pair.

Almora is a mix of Arcane and Frost. Her "style of combat" revolves completely around evading blows and crowd-control. Nothing offensive about her. :D

...I've got six other toons (five if you count the fact I don't have a character planned for my paladin) that I could list, but that's a bit much for me at this time. >>

I love threads like this! :D

Ileyna is a restoration druid. She is all about regrowth - of nature and of people. (Though she prefers trees to people.) It makes her the happiest to see someone or a somewhere at their full potential. (And she's a chicken and doesn't want to get hit in the face like you bears and cats. :| )

Amavia is arcane/frost! She loves the tricks of the arcane (mirror images, time warp, conjuration, abjuration - her favorite of the schools) but she's still a little icy. Not as cold and withdrawn as she was this time last year at all but she's the type to seal her feelings beneath layers of ice and it shows in her magic. She's also very much into mana shields! She'd rather prevent herself or allies from getting hit and deal damage after barriers are erected than run around casting fireballs.

Viletta is affliction all the way. While not terrible with demons and apt at Shadow magic she delights in curses and the misery of others. And haunts! Oh haunts! She loves to rip souls out of the air and make them do her bidding. If there was a Diablo 2 style necromancer class in WoW it would suit her so much better.

Fiore is subtlety. She is a steady hand with her rapier and fine with duels but she'd prefer to not have to lift her blade at all. A sneak and a spy, Fiore is about intrigue and information. Lurking in the shadows and collecting the information she needs before handing it off to the right source. And occasionally shanking someone and disappearing. Very rarely.

Oh this is neato. I don't think the purpose of the thread is to really limit what a character is ICly, as opposed to just being a parallel-drawing exercise.

Veelham is a warrior with a shadow-fetish because I dual class like a pro. But if I were to pick a spec, he'd be Fury, with his horrible tempers and an awful dislike for any finesse. Swords are just extensions for punching. Wish fist weapons were viable for warriors!

Headtrip's nickname is "Shadowbitch" for a very good reason. She's as Shadow as it gets. I'd be surprised and terrified if she was able to wield the Light at all. Spriests are my favourite.

Irinna is yet to go "full warlock", but she is very fond of making things crackle, burn, and char, and is needlessly covered in soot regardless of the situation. She'd be Destro. She just wants to set a fire in your heart.

Uhh, let's see. I play two classes -- warrior and hunter -- as the same character, though the latter is really only kept for "flavor", and because originally I was going to roll her as a hunter. I figured out a way to integrate the two, though warrior is definitely the primary.

ugh incoming tl;dr

Freiha is by far and away Fury, due to her impulsiveness and, whether she acknowledges it or not, her emotion. She is no organized, military-based fighter; she learned how to fight on her own as a child, and it only became more refined once she came to Azeroth. (I always kinda saw Fury as the most... "primal" of the warrior specs, whereas Arms was military-based and Protection was... uh, protection-y.) She charges right into battle headlong, and when she gets hit, she gets mad and hits back twice as hard. Two weapons for effective hack-and-slash, some mail/plate armor for protection, and she's set. Let the carnage begin!

Meanwhile, her hunter self is Survival. When she was living in Nagrand, one of her elder sisters taught her how to track and hunt and all that good stuff. Now on Azeroth and living a solitary lifestyle that sometimes requires her to set up camp in the wild, she uses those skills. She knows how to hunt for food, and she uses her skill in herbalism/alchemy to mix poisons to bring them down. Traps are set as protection. Leather and cloth are worn for sneakiness.

She's not a ranged fighter though (as far as actual combat goes); she'd rather be smashing faces in up close and personal. She can fire poisoned ammo because of her plant/alchemy know-how, as previously mentioned, but the more magical shots (which is pretty much just Arcane Shot :B) are played off the fact that she's a draenei, and magic is so deeply ingrained into their culture. All in all, however, her hunter aspect is merely as gritty as the Survival tree can get.

Now, as for Shelantha? Protection, because she's your average "PROTECT ALL THE THINGS!!" paladin. She's great at blocking attacks and being the damage lightning rod for her comrades, but when it comes to actual hand-to-hand combat? lolno. She doesn't like it, anyway, because she's just not the "fighting type". While she's also begun to take an interest in the healing aspects of being a palerdumb, she hasn't actively pursued it because she's just too busy being a shield. It's something she kinda dabbles in during her spare time, but she has yet to seek out any kind of formal training... and until she does, she can pretty much only manage to heal herself in small amounts.

Vorrick is oocly subtlety spec, which never fails to make me lol. IC, he's probably closest to combat, I just love playing sub too much to change it up. Even then, he'd be a terrible combat rogue. He doesn't really know what to do with a sword, and would probably be most comfortable just hitting something with a shovel until it stopped moving. He's really mostly a rogue in the sense that most of the other classes didn't seem to fit. IC, he is gardening spec.

Andovar is a protadin, through and through, though his off-spec ICly would definitely be ret. He's had some anger issues in his past that he works very hard to tamp down, to the point that he's become pretty good at putting 'shields' up between himself and his emotions. Prot/ret definitely fits for him, he's one of the few characters I've had the spec in mind for before playing.

Grikk would be holy, through and through, since his whole thing is based around use of the Light, from a bit of a more gobliny context. His off-spec ooc is shadow, and IC he's just starting to delve into that a bit.

Lazirus is never levelled, but was originally supposed to be a healadin. If I can ever stand to reroll hunter, he might eventually gravitate towards being a terrible-at-bm hunter. Courier spec.

Qilin would ICly be a survival hunter of the sort of Bad who melees and uses raptor strike constantly. Instead, ooc, she's BM. Because fuck yes, BM.

Haast is oocly blood spec, because it allows him to have blood worms. ICly, I really don't know. Probably unholy/blood. I'm so bad at deciding that for death knights.

Dorien, in my head, is something of a Battle-Cleric. Disc, for the shields/protection aspect, and Mutilate/Combat for some aggression, to make up for his lack of offensive spells with his Disc-ness. I never said he was a NICE Battle-Cleric, and is just as pleased to stab you in the back to shield an ally.

Illich is ICly Affliction, he's got the patience to hide away and curse you slowly and sneakily, making people think you died of natural causes. He's also got a few quick and dirty spells, but they usually scream "SOMEONE HAS MURDERED THIS PERSON WITH SHADOW MAGIC AND DISEASE" so he doesn't use those very often, or at all.

Both of my warriors aren't... really warriors. They're technically fury/prot and arms/prot, but they're actually a mad scientist and dock worker respectively, and their specs don't reflect their jobs/mindset at all.

Voidcrow: Demonology. She gets by on the power of enslaved demons rather than the power of her own direct-damage magic, which is lacking. Within the game mechanics, she's dual-specced; I do solo questing as Demonology and do instances as Destruction.

Holistin: Arms, since he uses a single two-hander in RP. OOCly he's dual-specced Fury and Protection.

Gladizz: Frost, to the point that within roleplay she's recently become incapable of casting with fire. She's dual-specced Frost and Arcane OOCly; I use Frost only when solo quests become survivability-intensive.

Kang: IC, he is an Arms Warrior. OOC, he is an Unholy/Blood DK. I... I can't RP as a death knight. <_<

Tewerver: IC, both a Holy Priest and Arcane Mage. He doesn't exist as an avatar in the game.

Tamonrae: Beast Mastery. This is her spec both IC and OOC.

Eidrain is Shadow all the way.  He enjoys prodding people in the brain from time to time and since he can't use the Light anymore it seems the next natural choice.  He's become very proficient with the Shadow to make up for his complete lack of physical combat skills.

Ereban is Combat mostly because of his IC fighting style.  He's a brawler instead of the usual super sneaky rogue (not that he can't be sneaky, he's just lazy) and prefers to get up close and dirty.  Fist weapons are his absolute favorite.

Vynaerion is an Affliction Lock now.  Funny thing is I started RPing him as Demo because of his affinity with his Succubus, but after training a bit, he found the affliction lifestyle to be much more...satisfying.

Cein is a shadow priest, but barely anybody would guess it by looking at her.  She's not your typical 'evil' priest or even a slightly dark one.  Her usage of the shadow comes mostly from her reading so many books about it and practicing for hours on end for years upon years.  She makes most use of the mind aspect of shadow abilities, using the mind vision and control to -help- her guildmates and friends who need it.  I have a whole way of RPing mind magics, involving avatars of each character in their own fabricated spaces.  Like, some peoples' minds are infernos, whilst some are endless parties, etc, and that's where their avatar 'lives.'  Cein's little sprite likes to come chat. :3

Evalain is holy and has always been holy.  Her backstory says she was more of a retribution type paladin at one point before a huge turning point in her life where she started to rely more on the Light...it was mostly an overcompensation.  She's now RPed out as a battle-medic (surgery and stuff) and healer.

Liyat is blood because blood is where it's at!  She's one of those people who is impatient and would rather throw herself in front of waves of enemies rather than talk about it.

Velyndae is dual-specced into survival and BM, but I RP her as a survival hunter.  She's lived almost alone in Outland (specifically Nagrand) since the BE first went through the portal.  She'd never went back, having been separated from the group.

Me'notoa/Meros:
I am a bad but this late in the game I've stopped caring too much.

Meros is ICly in the middle of transitioning from rogue to warrior, so I have both... rogue and warror aspects of him.

Although he's been training since a few months before Cata Happened, it'll take him a long-ass time to get anywhere, because going from leather and daggers and fists to lugging around mail, plate, and weapons and being more in-your-face about fighting styles is kind of a Big Deal for him. He's not the biggest boy on the playground, and he's an old man, so lots of work ahead.

ICly, he's not anything when I'm on his warrior version, and he's mostly stayed out of trouble and I don't agree to RP fights anymore outside of people I trust not to break me, so there's been no real clash of "you can't bring rogue stuff into this!" Someone said "garden spec" and I like that. I'm stealing it.

OOCly (for the moment), his warrior specs are SMF and Protection, with the former being the closest in match to his style of fist-fighting and brass-knuckle punching. The latter may actually never be IC since I can't see him ever able to withstand the brunt of prolonged onslaughts without the support of magic behind him (which he has pretty much nothing of aside from a few shadow tricks, so).

ICly, his rogue self is a weird mismash of things because Plot Reasons. For simplicity's sake, his main, preferred style of fighting matches best with Sub--or did before Blizzard decided to shove daggers down rogues' throats and move away from fist weapons. The tattered remnants of matching any spec ICly lies now in his shadow derping in which he manipulates his own shadow and walks in a space "between Light and the world". Kind of like mage invisibility but not. It's actually pretty easy to pop him out of hiding even if it causes unpleasant consequences for him.

OOCly , his rogue self is Sub, Sub, Sub, and has been since I first rolled him back in the beginning of BC. I love Sub, and also I have tons of sentimental attachment to it: back when Sub was "subpar" (hur) and I was regularly raiding I still stuck to that spec zealously, working my ass off to keep up with my rogue contemporaries in spite of how "bad" it was supposed to perform. I continue to be really proud of that, even if it's a "back in my day" sort of story.

I do actually plan to play around with the other rogue specs (someday), but I have another rogue I can do that stuff on if/when I ever get that urge, so he'll probably always be Sub OOC and IC. I don't even have his second spec filled out, ahaha.

Astarin:
I have not stopped being a bad. I have two paladins and both of them are him. Shhh.

He is the biggest pacifist I have ever played, and the only one worse than him is my other draenei, a (mostly) retired priest.

OOCly, on Astarin, he is Prot (I love, love, love tanking and any class I play that has a tank spec, you can bet I'm playing it) and Ret as his specs. OOCly, on Mishamir, he currently is also Prot and Ret, but now that he's reached Outland levels and the land of awful PUGs, I plan to make his off-spec Holy to learn how to play that for funsies.

ICly, my hartadin is a mishmash of things not because I want him to be All The Things but because he simply doesn't wield the Light with the intent to harm, yet he's also a fairly awful healer only because he's never really tried much past helping to cleanse poisons and diseases.

I tend to play up more of the abilities that are not spec-specific with him but class-specific instead, is what I guess I mean.

The one thing I probably take from his specs the most is that when he makes the decision to help protect someone or something (not to fight, but to simply stand in the way and do the whole block, dodge, parry thing), he doesn't really need weapons to do it (although traditional shield and mace Can Happen). More often than not, he employs shields made out of Light, for example.

The other notable thing, I suppose, in playing up his class is that he would not be able to support the weight of full plate armour on his own. He's had years upon years of practice, of course, in wearing and moving in full plate, and it shows in his toned little body, but if he were ever to lose the Light for any reason, even for a few seconds, he would go down like a sack of bricks since out of unconscious habit he tends to rely far more on the Light's support to cushion that weight than he should.

This is a pretty big hole in defense, however, and not one he is disciplined enough to sort out when the Light is such a huge part of him, so he tries to wear less full regalia and more light plate/mail--all of which he crafts himself since he is too tiny for standard-issue to be guaranteed to fit.

Macaw/Limthala:
There's a trend here...

Macaw is hunter-y and warlock, but he'll never be hunter (or gussied up as a troll) for "reals," until/if IC plot catches up with OOC derping around for fun.

Eventually, however, once Plot Happens and he's freed from Solly at last, he'll have no access to warlock-y things since all of that was totally All Demon and not his knowledge, and since he's still a growing kid with no formal training in magic but All The Things Ever when it comes to a stupid amount of animals being amassed on the Swiftblade, hunter sounded like fun to hand him the reins of. I have no idea what spec he'd match ICly, though, since, as I said, he's still a growing kid and plenty of room for development, and that is all future stuff.

As Limthala, his current IC self (although he still goes by Macaw), he's very much demon-bound and in a lot of Trouble for it. An unsupervised demon summoning, accidental pacts, and a ridiculous amount of fel-taint don't make for good times.

OOCly, he is Demonology because I like playing it and I am too lazy to learn anything else right now.

ICly, he is Demonology for the sole purpose of exploiting Soul Link. Backwards.

Solly is in charge, and everything someone does to Solly, reflects back on Macaw instead. Macaw is the unwilling sacrifice in these situations, because he simply Can't Die--Solly has him good and perma-soulstoned for this very purpose of playing the warlock instead of the demon minion--but he can be killed.

I think the current count of this poor kid getting slaughtered instead of Solly during the course of RPs is up to 6 acknowledged, and literally countless more that have happened behind the scenes because I simply am Not Comfortable with playing up kid-torture even if it happens IRL. 8[ just not my cuppa, but I can't ignore consequences of someone who played with the worst set of matches ever and lit a fire he can't put out.

Um. I have way more but I always feel guilty cluttering up posts with my wordy self. These were just the ones I listed because they were off the top of my head. Others I could mention include: Ji'anu, Ike, Noneta'jai, Penumbral, Cobble, Rahmael, Iatrios, Kel'arath, or...
