I love horror movies. I love dark, cerebral, disjointed, off the wall films and mind-bending psychological thrillers. Outrageous, fantastical. Vampires, demons, ghooooosts. Must have creep factor. Black comedies are a plus, too. American or foreign. I don't mind subtitles. I don't mind era. My usual suspects have become rather boring and I need new inspiration.
Some of my favorites are Hellraiser, Dark City, Taxidermia, Begotten, Lo, Antichrist, City of Lost Children, Pi, Cube.
I also love old school sci-fi horror like the Alien movies, Deep Star Six and Leviathan. :3
What say you? What are some you would recommend to me?
Black comedies?
In Bruges!

This forever! Seriously, if you haven't seen it, it's wonderful.

In Bruges is great. Just.
Don't watch the trailer.

I have seen it! Great suggestion. But keep 'em coming!
I'm not often frightened by a horror film, so I have a tendency to gravitate more toward movies with a horror element that let me get some entertainment for another reason, rather than ones geared specifically to scare.
So, feel free to ignore my suggestions.
Shaun of the Dead is a both a satire and loving homage to George Romero's zombie flicks. It's mainly a black comedy, but it will bring moments of real fright and flesh-eating.
And if psychological thrillers are your thing, how about Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me? Admittedly, you'll probably need to watch the Twin Peaks TV series first, but if you can get a hold of it I heartily recommend them both. Whether it qualifies as horror is up to debate... as are a lot of things about it. It's definitely weird, though, so... there you go.

Omg, is that Gary Busey?? That's frightening enough on its own.
Its him and his voice.

I was unaware there was a sequel.

That is simultaneously the most horrifying and glorious thing I have ever seen.
I rather liked Delicatessen. Very very dark comedy.
Both Hulu and YouTube (under their Movies tab) have a decent number of free movies available. Sure, most of them are terrible but once in a while you'll come across something decent, or even pretty good. Of course I didn't bookmark them so now I can't find them!
Also, if you like Shaun of the Dead, you should watch Black Sheep. It's got a very similar feel, and I love it. (But I love werewolf/transformation stuff in general.)

Death at a Funeral is hilarious. Not the American one, though. Avoid it like the plague. The brit version is great.
Woman freaks the shit out of me, too.
Although I think my all time favorite is Black Death because omg yay witches, etc. Sean Bean is in it, so you already know part of the ending, but it's totally worth your time. If you have Netflix, I know that both Black Death and Woman are available for streaming.

Freaks, Plan 9 From Outer Space, Robot Monster and the original House on Haunted Hill are some of my favorite old horror movies of all time.
I lol'd
Ask me about my alt-addiction!
I'd look into Pitch Black for a pretty fun movie along these lines.
<3.
'Fido', now on Netflix. Along the same lines as Shaun, vury good.
Also, 'Tucker and Dale verses Evil' is a MUST see. Dark humor is awesome.
Pan's Labyrinth was great.
